This relaxed, flexible sewing retreat is designed around you and the projects you’ve been dreaming of starting (or finishing!). Whether you're a confident stitcher or still building your skills, this is your chance to immerse yourself in two days of focused sewing time — with expert tutor Emma Smith on hand to guide and support you.

There’s no set project list — just bring along whatever you’d like to work on.
That might be:
- A tricky garment you’ve been putting off
- A G&G Sewing Society kit you’ve hesitated to start
- Fitting adjustments on a pattern you love
- Or simply making use of our beautiful cutting tables, sewing machines, and overlockers

Relax & recharge – Enjoy 2 full days of blissful sewing in our beautiful studio - time to sew, unwind, and connect.

Please note - this retreat is not suitable for complete beginners. You must be familiar with the use of a sewing machine and have some independence with your own project. If you are looking for a beginners class, please see our Level 1 classes here.

Emma Smith

Emma started sewing as a young girl using scraps from her mum’s dressmaking to makes dolls clothes.

She developed that love through needlework class at school, and fashion and textiles courses at college and University, after which she spent time working in the garment making industry.

She now works as a freelance sewing tutor and loves sharing her passion with others, as well as finding time to sew most of her own clothes – she has the motto “if I can make it I can’t buy it”!

On the rare occasions she’s outside of the sewing room Emma endeavours to stay fit and healthy by running and training in a local gym.
