Lizzie Green

Lizzie is a passionate dressmaker and sewing enthusiast based in the Midlands. She’s happiest behind her sewing machine, browsing fabric shops, or getting stuck into a new creative project.

Having been taught to sew as an adult by her mum, Lizzie understands first-hand what it’s like to build skills from the ground up. Over the past ten years, she’s developed her sewing practice through courses in tailoring, pattern drafting and abstract quilting, and she’s never afraid to take on an ambitious project - from making bridesmaids’ dresses to reupholstering a sofa.

Alongside sewing, Lizzie has worked in campaigning and community organising for charities across the UK, where she’s trained and supported people with a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. She brings that same patient, friendly and confidence-building approach to her classes, creating a welcoming space where students can learn, experiment and enjoy the process.
