G&G Stitch Academy - Easter Holiday Sewing Session - Easter bunny bags
Do you have a crafty child or teenager inspired by the Great British Sewing Bee?
Are they eager to learn how to use a sewing machine or improve their hand-sewing techniques but unsure where to start?
Looking for a fun, creative activity to keep them engaged during the Easter break?
In this three-hour sewing session, students will explore a variety of materials and sewing tools, including how to safely and confidently use a sewing machine. They'll apply their new skills by creating their very own gorgeous Easter bunny bag, to take home! Use them to store those yummy Easter goodies and treats or make them as gifts for friends and family.
They will choose from a selection of coordinating fabrics and trims to make their project.
The session is ideal for complete beginners and also offers additional challenges for those who are more familiar with sewing, including those who already attend the G&G Stitch Academy.
This class is suitable for children ages 7 and up and designed to be fun and accessible to all skill levels. If time allows, students may even be able to make more than one bag.

This class is suitable for children aged 7-15 years old who are either new to sewing or already have some basic experience.
- All of the materials and components needed for the project
- Use of the g&g templates for each project
- Use of the sewing machines and machine thread
No need to bring anything for this workshop but feel free to bring some chocolate eggs to fill your bags with!
Alison Ivens
Alison has always been crafty and over the years has tried her hand at all sorts, including jewellery making, felting and paper crafts, but over the last few years she has found her passion in sewing and crochet.
After finishing a Fine Art Printmaking degree and Masters in Gallery Studies Alison spent 18 years working as Museum Manager and Curator in a small Lichfield museum, and while this was an important part of her past, she is now enjoying the opportunity to talk dressmaking with our lovely customers.
When she's not at the shop Alison is a mum to two children who, along with her husband, benefit from her dressmaking. Her wardrobe is very eclectic and her favourite pattern is animal print, which she considers a neutral!
