Birmingham Open Studios 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that Guthrie & Ghani will be opening our doors as part of this year’s Birmingham Open Studios! Come and explore the vibrant world of textiles, creativity, and craftsmanship right here in our Moseley studio.
Visitors will have the chance to view stunning makes from G&G students as well as from Lauren Guthrie, G&G’s owner and finalist from The Great British Sewing Bee. Expect a showcase of inspiring garments and projects – including pieces from Lauren’s time on the show – that celebrate the creativity at the heart of our sewing community.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll also be able to enjoy live demonstrations in the studio, offering a glimpse into some techniques and processes behind beautiful makes such as the ones on display.

Please note that Birmingham Open Studios does take part across 2 weekends in September, but g&g are only particpating in the 20th/21st September weekend.

About Birmingham Open Studios
Now in its 9th year, Birmingham Open Studios is a city-wide celebration of art, craft, and community. Over 165 artists and makers will be showcasing their work across more than 70 venues, from home studios to creative spaces like ours.
It’s a chance to meet local artists, discover unique handmade work, and experience the creative process up close – all free of charge. Visitors are encouraged to browse, chat, purchase, or even commission new work.
We love being part of an event that promotes local talent, creativity, and community spirit – and we’d love to see you there!
