Maybe your Sewing Society kits are piling up and you’re not sure where to start, or perhaps you’ve got a question about your sewing machine that’s holding everything up.
That’s exactly why we created our Virtual Sewing Studio Power Hour — a relaxed, supportive online sewing class designed to give you personal, one-to-one help, wherever you are.
Think of it as having your own sewing tutor join you virtually in your sewing room, helping you work through fitting issues, techniques, or confidence wobbles in real time.
A virtual sewing class tailored to you
These one-hour online sewing sessions are completely focused on your project and your questions. Whether you need help with fit, a clear demo of a technique, or simply someone to talk things through with, you’ll receive dedicated support from our expert tutor throughout the session.
This virtual sewing class is ideal if you:
- Want personal help without travelling to a studio
- Are sewing at home and need guidance as you go
- Feel stuck and need a confidence boost
- Want flexible, pressure-free learning
You’ll finish the session feeling clearer, more confident, and excited to get back to your sewing.
How the Virtual Sewing Power Hour works
- Live online sewing class via Zoom
- One full hour of one-to-one sewing support
- Bring any project you’re working on
- Sewing Society kit or non-G&G project welcome

Need a little extra help with your Sewing Society project? Join our expert sewing tutor, Claire, for a one-to-one video call designed to give you tailored guidance and motivation. During your session, Claire can help you with:

Claire Heath
Sewing has always been a huge part of Claire's life. As a child she was always making, crafting and fixing things. Her love of fabric and making drove her to study Textiles and Fashion Design at Leeds University. After graduating and gaining some invaluable experience in the fashion and textiles industry Claire realised her true passion was sharing her skills and knowledge of garment construction with others.
Claire has been teaching design as a qualified lecturer for well over a decade. She joined the g&g team shortly after the shop opened in 2013 as a workshop tutor. During her time with us she has taught countless workshops and has loved helping customers learn how to sew and create wearable garments that will become staples of their me-made wardrobe.
